NSW Sheriff's Office

0:05
Since 1824 we have served the people of NSW with great distinction and played a vital role not just in our state but in Australia's history.

0:14
Today we couldn't be prouder of the hundreds of dedicated sheriff's officers and court officers that serve as part of our reputable team looking to the future.

0:27
We continue to build on our mission by providing exceptional support to best protect the safety and well-being of over 200,000 citizens that access the NSW justice system each year.

0:43
To do this, we have consulted our stakeholders to ask how can we better deliver quality sheriff services to the people who need them most?

0:53
Through the consultation process we learned that at the heart of what we do is client and customer service.

0:59
From the way we build and train our team to the inclusive culture we foster.

1:04
We're proud to announce that this investment can be seen in our new NSW Sheriff's Office Service Charter.

1:12
The NSW Sheriff's Office is responsible for upholding the integrity of the justice system.

1:20
Our new service Charter reframes the way we integrate these roles with our values of service, trust, accountability, integrity and respect.

1:30
It's not always the easiest day in people's lives when they go to court.

1:34
We know that improving our operations benefits all of us.

1:38
Our new Service Charter puts people first in everything that we do.

1:43
Through the work of our Sheriff's officers and court officers, our NSW community will have a safer and fairer experience with the justice system.

1:54
The NSW Sheriff's Office is fully engaged and growing and evolving with you and we are confident that we can build stronger working relationships within our team and with the people that we serve.
